Students in Powys are being offered the opportunity to win £200.00 worth of vouchers to participate in a Powys Positive Pathways business competition being hosted by What About Me Training Ltd and Weales Wheels of Llanddewi. Powys Positive Pathways is the group which organises the Powys Careers Festival, which will again be held on Wednesday 6th March 2019 at the Royal Welsh Showground in Builth Wells.
All you have to do is create a 10 minute presentation (audio, video, Powerpoint, Prezi) describing what kind of business you’d set up in Powys if you left full time education. Entries may be on an individual basis or as a group of up to five. Your presentation should answer the following questions:
- What is your business?
- Who would your customers be?
- How would you promote your business?
- If you needed staff, how would you recruit them?
- What would be the main challenges for your business?
- How would you overcome these challenges?
The competition is limited to students in schools and colleges in Powys between the ages of 11 and 19 and your submission can be used as part of your Welsh Baccalaureate work. A shortlist of three entries will be compiled and those entries will present their idea to the judging panel.
