On Wednesday 17th December 2014 we have two activities taking place in the school that will have an effect on the normal school day.
Firstly, Year 12 will be running a Christmas Fair throughout the morning. All students will have the opportunity to visit the Fair for approximately 30 minutes during which time they will be able to buy food and take part in the various activities. You might like to give them a small amount of funding for this purpose: the money raised will go towards charities chosen by Year 12. It is important to note that there will not be any food for sale at break time from the school canteen.
We are also having our Christmas dinner at lunchtime which is a grand occasion with all students served by the Sixth Form. The cost of this dinner is the same as normal. We will need to extend the lunchtime to make sure we can accommodate all students. This is part of our celebration of Christmas following on from our impressive ‘Christmas at Crickhowell’ concert yesterday (11th December).
May I remind you that term finishes on Friday, 19th December at 1pm and transport has been arranged for 12.55. Should you have difficulties in collecting your child please let the school know and we will make arrangements for them to remain in school until 3.30pm when you will need to collect them.
The new term commences on Tuesday, 6th January 2015 and I look forward to welcoming our students back on that day.
I wish you all a wonderful Christmas holiday and a very happy New Year.
