Just a final reminder that we will be holding a non-uniform day tomorrow on Friday 5th December. On this occasion, students on the Eco Committee and Student Council have opted to support the fight against Ebola. We are asking that everyone shows their support and donates at least £1 on the day which will be donated to this very worthwhile cause. However, non-uniform clothing does not extend to fancy dress and clothing worn on the day must be appropriate for school.
The Ebola outbreak in West Africa was first reported in March 2014, and has rapidly become the deadliest occurrence of the disease since its discovery in 1976. Various charities are fighting and campaigning to prevent further spread of the disease through awareness campaigns and research into potential vaccinations.
This is a key reason why students wanted to make this our non-uniform charity as they are aware that we are all interdependent. They understand this is an important part of their role as a global citizen.
