Estyn Inspection 17 – 21 September 2012

After a wonderful Olympic sporting summer it has been an outstanding start to the Academic Year 2012.  Our examination results at GCSE have been our best ever and our A-Level results continue to be outstanding.

As you will already know we are looking forward to our Estyn Inspection from 17th – 21st September 2012, next week.  Our Inspection Team is led by Mr John Thomas and I would like to remind you that the Inspection Team will be meeting with parents from 5.30 pm – 6.30 pm on Monday 17th September to gather your views.  We hope that as many of you as possible will be able to attend this meeting to talk about the school with the Inspection Team.

I would also like to take this opportunity to let you know that our Annual Open Evening is on Thursday 27th September from 5.00 pm – 7.00 pm and on this day school will be closing early at 2.00 pm to allow staff to complete preparations for Open Evening.  School transport will take students home at 2.00 pm.  If you would like to attend the Open Evening and have a tour of the school with one of our Year 7 pupils we would be delighted to welcome you.

Following the success of our newly launched Parent Voice Forum, before the summer break, the next meeting is being held on Wednesday 17th October.  Please contact our Deputy Head, Rob Ford, if you would like to attend.

All our students have come back to school looking very smart in their uniform and as always their work and behaviour is excellent.  We are indebted to you as parents for your unending support of the school.  I am always happy to meet with parents so please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or suggestions on how we can offer a better service to our students and their families.

Yours sincerely

Jackie Parker
