Platinum Award for Eco Schools achieved again!

Crickhowell High School has once again been awarded the Platinum Award for Eco Schools, the highest accolade available from Keep Wales Tidy.   A great team effort was put in to achieve this, especially by our outstanding Eco Committee and it is something that we are extremely proud of, as Crickhowell High School is now one of the longest standing Platinum Award schools in Wales.  The inspection visit lasted until 4pm, as there was so much evidence to share of our projects and learning experiences and Keep Wales Tidy praised us for the great ethos and incredible work we are doing.

The Eco Schools scheme and awards focus on aspects such as reducing litter, improving school grounds, biodiversity and outdoor learning, wellbeing, global citizenship, as well as reducing our energy and water footprint, through sustainable transport and waste minimisation.  Crickhowell High School would like to thank our Eco Committee, staff, learners, parents and community partners for your fantastic contribution to the different aspects of Eco Schools and we look forward optimistically to a more sustainable future ahead of us.

Diolch yn fawr,
