Dear staff, students, parents and carers,
It is with very heavy hearts that we have to inform you of the decision to postpone the performances of the school musical, “We Will Rock You” which was scheduled to take place in the Clarence Hall, next week.
In the interests of the health and safety of the cast, crew, musicians and the audience of family members and the general public, we feel we must re-schedule. In the current, uncertain climate, it is impossible to predict what decisions the Westminster and Welsh governments will make which may, potentially, have a detrimental impact on our show next week.
We have taken the advice of the local authority, and with the Chair of Governors of the school, we feel the health of all concerned is paramount and, therefore, the decision to postpone is the right course of action.
We will meet as soon as possible to discuss options for a re-mounting of the show. We know how hard everyone concerned has worked and what a wonderful opportunity has been afforded to our young people to be part of such an amazing experience. All the hard work, effort and talent will not go to waste.
May we pay a personal tribute to the cast members and the musicians, and, ultimately, to Gabriella Panfili, Delyth Owen and Vicky Callow for all of their vision and dedication and their tireless drive to train and nurture such talent.
We will be in touch about dates for re-scheduling and tickets (either refunding or carrying over until the new production dates) in the very near future.
Please feel free to get in touch with any of us if you have any further queries at this time.
With very best wishes,
Jackie Parker Alison Maguire
