The Crickhowell High School Performing Arts Department, in association with the Year Twelve Performing Arts Group would like to announce their school play event for this year:
“We Are At War!”
Billed as a ‘brand new World War Two event performance’ “We Are At War!” will be performed on the 25th, 26th and 27th of February at the CLARENCE HALL, CRICKHOWELL, with each show beginning at 7pm sharp!
This year’s play, “We Are At War,” has been devised and scripted by the director- Alison Gerrish Maguire, the cast, and the members of the Year 12 Performing Arts group, who have planned and organised the whole event.
It will be a lovely evening of reminiscence, nostalgia, community singing and warm-hearted fun. We will hear from ‘Mrs Mills’ Diary,’ as well as enjoying the delights of the BBC ‘Light Programme’ during the second-half.
Pupils from Years 7 through to Year 13 have been working very hard to create a memorable, poignant and hugely entertaining evening. The wartime theme will pervade throughout the whole evening, with audience members being given a Ration Book for their interval refreshments and all audience members being invited to dress up in 1940s fashions! There will be an opportunity during the evening to buy vintage accessories from the Marie-Clare Blyth’s vintage range and interval entertainment is provided by the school’s Swing Band.
Tickets are available from the Crickhowell High School Office (01873 813500) and on the door of the Clarence Hall before each performance. The price for tickets is £10, with a concessionary price of £6.
Come along everyone : “DO YOUR DUTY!”
