The days are now drawing in and it gets darker earlier so we would like to remind all students to use the zebra crossing outside the school to cross New Road safely. The weather has also turned colder. Please can you remind your child that the uniform consists of both the sleeveless pullover AND the fitted jacket. With the colder weather students will appreciate the protection and warmth that the uniform affords but students are still allowed to remove their jackets in lessons if they are warm.

Year 7 matters
Year 7 have now settled very well into the school and so will now go to break and lunch at the normal time with the rest of the school.
This month we will host the Year 7 Guidance Evening.
It will begin at 5.30pm with refreshments and the formal part of the evening will begin at 6pm.
It will include an explanation of the Transition process and your child’s transition into the school, Learning To Learn, Recording Achievement, Interim reports, Literacy and Numeracy and CATs. During the evening you will have the opportunity to meet with Senior Staff and your child’s Form Tutor and to ask questions.
We very much look forward to seeing you all there.

Inter House Lower School Quiz
This term we are running a general knowledge quiz which is taking place once a week during a tutorial period. By the final week of this half term, all tutor groups will have nominated 2 representatives (One male and one female) to represent them. This will result in 6 Lower School students from each of the four houses (Catwg, Dewi, Hywel and Pedr) who will compete in the grand final for the House Cup and a treat for all members of the winning house. We wish every student and Tutor Group good luck!
As always, if you have any questions or concerns this term, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them
