We are now two weeks into the new term. Year 7 have settled well into the routine of the school and are proficient in finding their way around the building. ‘New’ students in each of Years 8 and 9 have also settled well. Year 7 will continue go to break and lunch 10 minutes early for the next two weeks.

SIMs Forms

It is vital that we are able to contact you in case of emergency.

Year 7 and new students

If you have not already done so please could you return the completed SIMs form as soon as possible?

Years 8 and 9

If you have changed any data that we hold for your child such as Address, Emergency Contact information, Mobile Numbers, Medical Details etc, please can you complete a new SIMs form and return it to the main reception as a matter of urgency.

Uniform

Please can you remind your child that the uniform consists of both the sleeveless pullover AND the fitted jacket. The warm weather appears to have come to an end and so we require both items of uniform to be worn at all times. Students are allowed to remove their jackets in lessons if they are warm.

Open Evening

Thursday 27th September is our annual Open Evening. It will run from 5pm until 7pm.Ostensibly it is for prospective new students and families to come and see the school in action. However, everyone is welcome to attend. Year 7 students will act as guides and a letter requesting your permission and with further details will be coming home shortly.

We would like to respectfully remind you not to drive into the school car park 15 minutes either side of the beginning and end of school for the health and safety of the students walking and alighting from/boarding buses. The school car park is closed to all vehicles between 8:15am and 8:45am and again between 3:15pm and 3:45pm.
