Year 12 Welsh Bac students experiencing life in University!

After a very successful Welsh Bac week, with all students working hard to complete controlled assessments, Year 12 students were treated to two exciting trips to universities.

The University of South Wales have been fantastic in accommodating us for a trip to Treforest Campus, where students learned how to write Personal Statements, complete UCAS applications and also had an opportunity to look around the Campus. Such a useful and enjoyable visit, in preparation for future destinations!

Our overnight trip to Aberystwyth University was highly successful and enjoyable! We were totally spoilt, with a jam packed itinerary including Welsh Bac Individual Project and History workshops, a visit to the National Library of Wales (including a look around the vaults), a look around the town and beach, evening entertainment and accommodation in the newest (with en suite bathrooms and very plush decor) student halls.

We are so grateful for the support received and look forward to continuing our excellent links with these universities and others! Students learn and experience so much from these activities and the feedback has been very positive from students and staff!

Year 12 were a credit to themselves, the school and their families and we thoroughly enjoyed their company!
