Congratulations on such impressive A level results to the class of 2013

We are delighted that once again our students have achieved outstanding A-Level results at Crickhowell High School.

From a year group of 97 students more than 47% of grades awarded were at A or A* with two thirds of all grades awarded at A* – B, 99.5% of all grades were at A to E and a number of students achieved straight A/A* grades.

All our students who applied to university have gained entry with 97% of students achieving their first choice. This includes places for Law, Mathematics, Astrophysics, Aeronautical Engineering, History and Political Science, Teaching and Nursing. Crickhowell students will be heading off to university places as diverse as Durham, Imperial, Bristol, Cardiff, Swansea, Southampton and Exeter. As a result of such impressive results we are expecting record numbers for our Year 12 intake for September 2013.

We are very proud of all our Sixth Form students at Crickhowell High School and recognise that such excellent results reflect their commitment and hard work as well as that of their teachers and parents who have supported them so well.  We have every confidence that these young people will go onto outstanding success in the future.

It is a privilege to work with so many incredibly talented young people whose dedication, ambition and good character are a credit to their school and their community.  I have every confidence that they will go on to make a very positive difference in their chosen careers and throughout their lives. I will miss them and wish them all the very best for their future success and happiness.
