Crickhowell High Litter Pick for ‘Be Tidy’

On Friday the 2nd of October, we organised a litter pick of the school grounds from 1.50pm to 2.30pm. The litter pick focused on the field and front drive, and was led by Mr Jones and Mrs Austyn-Richards.   A large group of Year 7 and 8 students participated in the litter pick, using litter pickers which were purchased by the Eco Committee earlier this year.

The litter pick was done for the Be Tidy campaign, organised by Keep Wales Tidy, a Welsh national voluntary environmental charity which works towards achieving “a clean, safe and tidy Wales”.   Keep Wales Tidy encourages communities to clean up and be responsible for their local areas. The litter pick was very successful, and a full bag of rubbish was collected which was then organised for recycling. Thanks again to those who took part in this campaign and to everyone for putting litter in the bin where it belongs.
