On Wednesday 21st and Tuesday 20th of November and again at the end of January, members of the Eco-Committee planned and executed Fairtrade stalls, upon which we sold a range of Fairtrade products such a bananas. This raised a total profit of over £36. We would like to thank everyone who purchased from the stall during the break and lunch times, as we are very grateful for your support. The money raised will go directly to Fairtrade in the hope of ensuring that a fair price is established for farmers’ products globally, as well as on eco projects within school such as the purchasing of bird feeders to improve biodiversity within the school grounds.
Following this success, we will aim to do another stall, assembly and raffle very soon in the run up to Fairtrade Fortnight, which takes place at the end of February into March. Please help to play your part, by supporting local as well as Fairtrade producers where possible. Thank you for your support.
Seren Jones and Molly Andrews,
On behalf of the Eco-Committee
