Raising Awareness of Polio

focus-on-the-crocus-1
Since half term, your Eco Commitee has been trying to do their bit to help the 3 countries left with polio. The Eco Commitee has planted 600 purple crocus bulbs, given by the Crickhowell Rotary Club, to show our support. Polio Plus is a charity that gives a drop into a child’s mouth to prevent them getting polio and a purple dye is placed on their finger to show they have been immunised.

The committee is shown in this photo, planting the bulbs.  We hope that projects like this will raise awareness of polio, and encourage other people to help too.  It will also make the school grounds even more attractive in Spring when a vibrant display of purple crocus bulbs bloom.  If you would like to join the Eco Committee, then come to H5 on Tuesday lunchtimes from 2pm.
