Psychology is currently one of the most popular subjects to study both at A Level and at University. It appeals to a wide variety of students as it complements science subjects such as Biology or Chemistry but with its focus on understanding human behaviour provides an excellent accompaniment to humanity and art based subjects. Psychology is highly regarded by employers as people who study it have experience in both the logical analysis of data as well as the ability to empathise with others. A Psychology degree opens the doors to a wide variety of careers. Of those who continue it on to University level, only a relatively small percentage actually chose to become professional Psychologists. The rest chose a variety of people related careers including management, advertising and human resources.
